Cayman Islands: A Water Lovers Dream

I've been obsessed with the water for as long as I can remember. I didn't grow up next to the ocean, but my summers were always spent on the lake or in the pool. I learned to water ski when I was about 7 years old, and I think that's what really got me comfortable in the water. I later found my passion for wakeboarding and competitive swimming.

Now that I've found my way to the ocean, it has opened up a world of possibilities. I purchased my first water housing at the beginning of this year and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself and my career.

There's nothing comparable to swimming in crystal clear Caribbean waters surrounding the beautiful Cayman Islands. There were times when I truly thought I must be in a swimming pool because I had never seen such clear sea water. Exhibit A:

I spent the week with my childhood best friend swimming off the white sand beaches and snorkeling with stingrays on the most beautiful sandbar. If you are visiting Grand Cayman I highly recommend booking a trip to Stingray City with Ambassador Divers. The crew was super friendly and knowledgeable about the rays and the area.

The photos below are some of my favorites from shooting with Coral Cay off of Cemetery Beach in West Bay. If you are looking for a non-crowded beach with amazing snorkeling and freediving, this is your beach.
